Volunteer with our webchat counselling service

The Mix is the UK’s free confidential support service, providing essential support for young people under 25 who need help and don’t know where to turn.

We offer a free, in-house webchat counselling service to young people aged 10-18 years.  It’s an exciting time to get involved with counselling volunteer work. You’ll learn new effective methods to support children and young people using technology as a powerful tool to make a positive connection, increase your skills, receive free supervision and offer short term interventions to young people who might be accessing a counselling service for the first time.

All volunteers must be members or student members of a professional body such as: BACP, BPS, UKCP or equivalent. A minimum of level 4 Diploma in year 2 (final year) or already qualified at level 4.

If you want to make a difference to young people’s lives, we want to hear from you!

Please note that are counselling placements are a volunteering opportunity, and we would ideally need a commitment of one year.
