Connect through volunteering
Volunteering can be an amazing way to combat loneliness – it can help you to connect with others and make you feel like you’re part of a community.
“I signed up to volunteer with The Mix as a small way to give back, by offering emotional support to those that don’t have a support network or are unable to easily talk about their feelings. But this year, it’s been a coping mechanism for me, to feel connected to other people, and by knowing that in a small way, I am helping others feel better.”
(Alice, a Mix volunteer)
At The Mix we have a variety of different volunteering roles which can give you a chance to get involved with the work The Mix does, connect with other young people and be part of a lovely, supportive team.
