The success of The Mix’s work depends on the commitment and passion of our staff. We’re a diverse bunch, with a wealth of experience and varied backgrounds. Our working ethos is based on respect, challenge and nice coffee.

Head of Youth Engagement
Ed’s goal is to expand and develop the opportunities we offer young people; strengthening the skills amongst those using and powering The Mix services. He's nicknamed ‘BBC Sport’ due to his encyclopaedic knowledge of useless sports trivia.
Katie has managed our revenues and resources here at The Mix for 4 years. Katy says "Don’t ask me what I do in my spare time – I'm a mum"
Fundraising and Engagement Officer
Combining her passion for helping people and all things digital- it’s a match made in heaven really! When not working at The Mix, she is either volunteering with Child Bereavement UK or exploring new countries, getting stuck into the local cuisine or taking in the local sites.
Youth Support Officer
Definitely the most fashionable person at The Mix, Lindsay (with an A, not an E) keeps the helpline running smoothly. Our Geordie transplant enjoys whiskey, Bruce Spingsteen and true crime podcasts.
Marcin can make (pretty much) any code dance. Some of us suspect that he can see the world in binary - just like Neo from the matrix (Hang on... maybe he is Neo from the matrix?).
Youth Support Officer (Community)
Mike first joined the community as a user a few years ago. After volunteering for a while he is now a fully-fledged staff member. He is often absorbed in music or a game, and also gets told (a lot) that he looks like Robert Pattinson.
Volunteer Development Manager
Nadia leads on the development of all things volunteer related and loves seeing the positive impact volunteering has on the lives of individuals and wider community. Nadia has two young children, so when she's not at work she's can been seen either falling asleep anywhere she sits down or running around pretending to be a dinosaur between trying to gulp down unhealthy quantities of caffeine!
Youth Support Officer
Rebecca joined the helpline in July, having completed the Charityworks graduate scheme. She supports our lovely volunteers, and is committed to providing young people with access to services, especially in relation to mental health and relationships. Outside of The Mix she enjoys doing sexual health outreach, and loves TOWIE.
Just a legend.
Passionate about supporting wellbeing and positive innovation through her work, Simona is also an enthusiastic discoverer of the world's natural and cultural heritage. You could easily find her mindfully walking around green spaces, photographing plants or discovering crafts and textile markets.
