Trustees

Andrew Harrison

Andrew Harrison

Chair of Trustees

Andrew graduated in 1992 from Leeds University with a BA in Management Studies before starting his career as a Management Consultant at Bridgewater Associates.  In 1995, Carphone Warehouse beckoned and Andrew’s creative thinking and business acumen saw him rise swiftly through the ranks from Strategy Manager to securing the UK CEO role in 2001. Andrew was promoted to the Board as a Director in 2006 and became Group Chief Executive in 2013. He led the merger of Carphone Warehouse with Dixons Retail in August 2014, and was appointed to his current role as Deputy CEO of Dixons Carphone plc and CEO of Connected World Services. Andrew joined the Board of Trustees of Get Connected (now The Mix) in 2003 and became Chair in 2020. As one of the country’s most passionate advocates of connected technology and father of two young children, Andrew believes that The Mix has never been more relevant, channelling the power of technology to help vulnerable young people get the support they need, how and when they need it most.

Gearóid joined the Board of Trustees of Get Connected (now The Mix) early in 2012 and serves as Chair of Trustees. Debbie Chandler

Debbie Chandler

Treasurer

Debbie is the Financial Director at RVU and former Commercial Finance Director at Zoopla. She got involved with The Mix at the start of 2020, after an ex-colleague of stepped back from the Treasurer position and 'matchmade' the connection. With the digital lean of The Mix (quite unusual in the charity sector) being so closely aligned to the Tech industry (which she has worked in for many years), it felt like a serendipitous connection at just the right time. The cliched 'giving something back' had a lot to do with her general interest in taking on a treasurer role, but Debbie particularly wanted to be involved with a charity that had a strong mental health focus. The Mix's focus on young people further increased the appeal of the role. Debbie has two nieces and a nephew with whom she is very close (all under 10 but rapidly growing up), and the complexities of navigating the world today for young people seem quite discombobulating! Debbie wants to do her part to help make that world a little easier for them to navigate.
