Get Connected, the UK’s free and confidential helpline for under 25s, is one of just 30 organisations shortlisted for the annual Guardian Charity Awards. These awards aim to showcase excellence among small and medium-sized charities supporting communities in the UK.

Jessica Taplin, CEO at Get Connected, says: “It is wonderful to be shortlisted and this is great recognition of all of the hard work and dedication our team demonstrate every day to support vulnerable children and young people in the UK. We provide an innovative and flexible service which has a tremendous impact on young lives and we would be honoured to have this recognised in December.”

David Brindle, Public Services Editor, says: “The awards offer a priceless leg-up to organisations that are delivering practical solutions to present-day problems, never more important than at a time of continuing austerity in our public services.”
