The Mix team up with schuh to launch their new winter campaign

The Mix have launched a brand-new winter campaign that focuses on the challenges young people face during the festive season. Due to the synergy with their customer base, The Mix have teamed with high street footwear retailer schuh, to further spread this important message via their platforms.

Additionally, schuh have produced a bespoke tote bag for the campaign with 100% of profit of all bag sales going directly to The Mix which is available in all schuh stores and at wwww.schuh.co.uk. Although Christmas is known for being a time of happiness, it can also be a really difficult time for under-25s and this year, it will be especially tough.

Strains on families and relationships can be really challenging and intense for young people over the festive season. It can affect their mental health and leave them feeling isolated. There are also those who may not have any loved ones around them and therefore might want to reach out to The Mix’s services when they’re feeling lonely. With the added pressures of the pandemic and lockdown rules, lots of young people may be reaching crisis point.

The winter campaign schedule

The campaign will be span six weeks, each with a different theme. The Mix have chosen the issues that they know impact young people the most, and especially at this time of year. They want young people to know that they don’t have to feel happy just because it’s Christmas and that if they need to talk, The Mix are there to support them.

“Our partnership with The Mix is very special to us. The support they provide is so critical, particularly given the challenges this year has brought. We’re really proud to be able to collaborate creatively, to highlight the stories and share the issues that so many are facing, along with signposting to essential help as well as promoting self-care. In the shadow of the virus, our Christmas campaign with The Mix highlights the need to look after ourselves and each other.”

Zoe Bailie, Director of Brand and Development at The Mix says:

“We’re so excited to be working with Schuh on our winter campaign, which offers support to young people who might be struggling over the festive season. Christmas can be a really challenging time for young people who might be feeling isolated and lonely at this time of year or even at risk of homelessness. On the flip side many are faced with the pressure of spending time with family, which can also bring up lots of difficult issues. They could all urgently need someone to talk to and our digital support services offer this crucial lifeline. Working with Schuh means we can reach even more young people who need our life-saving services and we’d like to thank them for their continued collaboration and support.”
