The Mix and Teemill

The Mix charity have teamed up with the ethical online t-shirt company, Teemill, to produce a colourful new range of t-shirts, tote bags and hoodies. All clothing displays messages of love and support, to remind young people that they are not alone during this challenging time. To help The Mix reach even more young people, 50% of proceeds will go towards helping the charity expand its life-saving services.

The Mix has seen a huge increase of demand on services since the beginning of lockdown, with more and more young people struggling to cope with isolation and the impact of coronavirus on their daily lives. There has been a 90% increase in the use of The Mix’s community boards since lockdown started and the charity have taken 40% more contacts on their helpline.

Messages on the clothing are uplifting and reassuring, with phrases such as, “you are not alone,” “taking it one day at a time” and “good times are coming.”

Keeping production safe

Large parts of the UK factory system that make the new products are automated and 90% of staff now work from home. Essential manufacturers who are on site have the appropriate PPE, and work in different zones distance. There’s normally one person in each zone, plus a person on site for safety and essential maintenance.
